We get ahead of the disease

At IMOMA, we consider our participation in research projects a necessary complement to our clinical activity, given that it provides us with first-hand knowledge on the scientific advances which will form part of healthcare practice in the future (Translational Oncology).

Our collaboration with leading, national and international scientific institutes and research groups, allows us to work on cutting-edge lines of research, the results of which may be found in prestigious scientific journals such as Science and Nature.

We are currently focusing mainly on two areas of research, which we consider will be applied in healthcare practice in the very near future:

  • New-generation sequencing in studies on cancer and other diseases of genetic origin.
  • Development of new physical and clinical dosimetry systems for advanced radiotherapy techniques.

Our research activity includes the analysis of samples generously donated by patients (Biobank) and the use of animal models which recapitulate pathological situations in human patients.
